Dr. Thompson, a Booneville, Mississippi native, graduated from Ole Miss in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1995 from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Thompson began her practice to serve the area of Batesville. She stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry to give you the most current treatment options.

She is also a past member of the Junior League of Batesville, the Batesville Rotary Club, where she served in several positions and was nominated Paul Harris fellow in 2013, and the Batesville Garden Club, where she is currently serving as the Youth Projects Chairman.
Dr. Thompson has also served on the Panola County Humane Society and the Panola Partnership boards.
Dr. Thompson is a life member of the Ole Miss Alumni Association and is a proud life member of the Guardian Society at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.
Outside the Office
Dr. Thompson is married to Michael Savage, and they have three boys, Eli, Ford, and Baylor.
She enjoys lake activities, snow skiing, and Ole Miss sports.
Dr. Thompson and her family are active in the Batesville United Methodist Church and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Oxford, Mississippi, where she's been involved in the Honduras Medical Mission.
Meet Dr. Amann
Dr. Matthew Amann is originally from Tupelo, Mississippi. He graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Biology.
He went on to graduate with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was involved in the Hispanic Student Dental Association and the Diversity Enhancement Committee.
Dr. Amann also received the Dr. Jeffrey Alexander Memorial Achievement Award for clinical excellence.

While Dr. Amann enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, his particular areas of interest include fixed prosthodontics and esthetic restorations. Dr. Amann joined Lakewood Dental in 2022 and is proud to serve the community of Batesville.

Dr. Amann and his wife, Katie, moved back to North Mississippi in 2022, where she’s a practicing optometrist.
Dr. Amann enjoys audiobooks, playing disc golf, snow skiing, entertaining friends with his master grill skills, and cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels!
